Invitation :)

Hello Family!

We wanted to let you know (if you didn't already) that we, as a family, have hopefully started a new tradition while we're here in Moscow. We hope to have a couple of nieces/nephews come up for a few days every summer for the years that we live here. It's a good chance for them to see some new places, do different things, and for us to get to know our nieces and nephews better and for them to get to know our family too.

Rachel and Spencer came in 2008 and we had soooo much fun! We didn't have anyone last year since Elizabeth was soon to come, but we're hoping to have a couple of our wonderful nieces and/or nephews come this summer. Some things we did with Rachel and Spencer: picked huckleberries, went to Coeur d'Alene to a theme park close by (Silverwood), we went to a lake about 20 min. away to roast steak chunks & go fishing, and did fun stuff around Moscow. They flew into Spokane (about 1 1/2 hr. drive from Moscow)...in case you want to look for tickets.

So, this year, we decided that instead of just going in order from oldest to youngest, we'd just see if there are any nieces and nephews who would want (and had time) to come and do something like this. We know some of the kids have lots going on in the summers and others are home-bodies, so if your kids do have time and want an adventure...email us back quickly!!!

A couple of other things...we try to have two come at a time (so they have each other and so we can fit in our cars!). We will pay for 1/2 the plane ticket and we'll cover all the stuff while they're here. This summer we have a young woman staying with us from June 27th until July 17th...so we are free any time besides those dates.

Think about it and let us know!!!

Love,
Ammon, Natalie, Noah & Elizabeth

Dance Recital on Friday May 21st

Hey just wanted to let everyone know that we have our dance recital May 21st, this Friday, at 6:00 pm. It's 1 hour long and it will be at this location:

Eastmont Middle School, 10100 S. 1300 E., Sandy Utah.

Rebekah, Sarah, and myself (Jenn) will be dancing in it. We'd love to have anyone who can make it come, but we know it is a busy time of year, so we totally understand if it isn't possible. Anyway hope you all have a great week!

for all you campers and scout leaders out there...

Julia sent me this picture and it cracked me up.  A snuggie...but in sleeping bag form!  If I was ever forced to go camping, this would be a must. :)

Just so you know...

Hey Family!

We just wanted to let you know that we're going to be in town for a while. I figure that most of you don't know when we're visiting...so here are the dates!

We'll be there on the 17th, Ammon will leave with the brothers on the 21st and then he'll leave for Moscow on the 26th and the kids and I will stay a little longer and fly out May 1st. Noah turns 3 on April 17th, so we're going to try to plan a little get together, maybe at the poolhouse...we'll let you know when and where. We know you're all busy, so don't worry about it if you can't come, we'll hopefully see everyone there at one time or another!

We can't wait to see you and sure love you all!

Love,
Ammon, Natalie, Noah, and Elizabeth

wonderful talk...

So, Jordan sent me a copy of a talk Elder Glenn L. Pace gave at a BYU devotional a few weeks ago.  It is a beautiful talk on the divine nature and destiny of women--one that I think everyone should read.  It reinforces the beauty and importance of marriage and our individual, divine natures.
Anyway, I loved it and I wanted to share.

Love,
Mary

Life...

Julia sent me these and I was laughing out loud. Partly because they are funny, and partly because they are so true...:)
Love you guys!

Life is like an onion; you peel off one layer at a time and sometimes you weep.

Life is just a phase you're going through...you'll get over it.

There are good days and there are bad days, and this is one of them.

You know, it's a long world.

Life is like stepping onto a boat which is about to sail out to sea and sink.

Life... is like a grapefruit. It's orange and squishy, and has a few
pits in it, and some folks have half a one for breakfast.

addresses

Hello family,

I was just wondering if those family members who have moved recently or live away could send me their current address. (Ammon and Nat, Ardith and Aaron, Hyrum and Jenna, and Jordan P. down there at BYU.) I have most of them I think, but I want to make sure I have all the right info cause I'm trying to correctly update all the lists around here that are wrong. :)  Thank you much!

Love,
Mary

P.S. If you haven't seen the newest addition, Evvy, let me just say that she is SOOO CUTE!  I'm not biased or anything, but all Auntie prejudice put aside, she really is a doll.  Good work Miriam and Jordan. :)
